A Sustainable Heirloom
Flower Farm

A focus on sustainability and regenerative farming is what sets Wild Keep apart. My three key approaches to growing cut flowers include sustainable farming, intentional seed sourcing, and maintaining locally grown heirloom flowers for future generations

Wild Keep’s focus on:
Sustainability
Sustainability
- My growing infrastructure includes using soil blocking (and other creative methods! Follow my Instagram for more details) to start most of my plants instead of plastic trays.
- I also use wool and a variety of plants and leaves as mulch instead of plastic covering to help control weeds. Wool also helps retain moisture while also contributing nutrition to the plants.
- Cover cropping is also a key element in my regenerative farming plan as well as producing compost from the animals on the farm.
- I use natural methods of pest and disease control. I do not use any conventional herbicides or pesticides.
Wild Keep’s focus on:
Seed Sourcing
Seed Sourcing
- I buy my seeds, tubers, etc. from companies and/or organizations who have signed the Safe Seed Pledge and do not knowingly sell genetically engineered seeds or plants.
- I have a variety of open-pollinated and/or heirloom seeds and plants.
- I also seed save and breed my own varieties when possible.

Locally Grown
- I grow my flowers myself!
- But seriously, if I have a shortage, I source from other local growers. (If this were to happen, I let the customer know that the flowers/herbs in the arrangements were not grown by me, but were locally sourced.) so you know your flowers are always locally grown!
- Local, seasonal, and sustainably grown flowers help support local farmers, area businesses, and the health of the land, pollinators, and more!
